Autumn Color in the Wasatch Mountains

Mill B South Fork, Big Cottonwood Canyon, UT

Late Saturday afternoon my 11 year old son and I hiked up Mill B South Fork Canyon heading toward  Lake Blanche. Our first objective was to see the autumn colors, but I doubted we had time to get all the way to the lake. It is a 2.8 mile hike, but with a 2400′ elevation gain. The colors were spectacular. We saw two moose, and three mountain goats, way up on the mountainside. We didn’t quite make it to the lake—we ran out of daylight. Below are some photos from the trip.

All photos were taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 with the 12-50 mm kit lens, or the Olympus 40-150 mm lens.
